Foxface was, in its original incarnation, the pursuit and alter ego of one (angry) man, Michael Angus / Anguish. Early 2004, however, saw Foxface transmutate into a three-piece made-up of Michael, his old Peeps Into Fairyland bandmate John Boy, and new recruit Miss Jenny. Together they have refined, tuned, squeezed and coaxed Foxface into a more affable animal - and their sound of late has as much growl as rough purr. Preferred instruments include accordian, banjo, bells and lots of singing mixed in with a healthy dose of dirty rhythmn. 2005/6 saw Foxface play with, amongst others, Sons & Daughters, The Gossip, King Creosote, Uncle John and Whitelock, Electric Magnolia Company, My Latest Novel and Idlewild.

Foxface's self - released debut single 'Monster Seas / Across to Texa' came out in April 2006 on 7 inch and promptly sold out (sorry), largely funded by their earlier apperance at Glasgow stellar club night Optimo (thanks!).....then the summer saw Foxface embark on a UK tour with Roddy Woomble and Friends, then play the Isle of Skye and Green Man festivals.

Late 2006 saw Foxface record their contribution 'Dreamcatcher' to Chemikal Underground's Scottish writers/musicians collaboration 'Ballads of the Book', out now (and can be heard above).

'This Is What Makes Us', Foxface's debut album, was recorded in early 2007 at Chem 19, Hamilton with Andy Miller, and features too our folky friends John McCusker, Andy Cutting and Janis F Murray (of the Parsonage). It will be out on 5th November on Gargleblast Records!
